7+Players Game. Jalpari is a fun game for a large group of children. Two teams with equal number of children are formed and the aim is to cross an imaginary river without being caught by the mermaid or jalpari. The team whose player is last to be caught wins.
How To Play :
The children divide themselves into two groups. One child, who is not part of any group acts as a jalpari. The two teams stand in a row facing each other. The members of both teams are numbered 1,2,3 and so on. There is a 30 feet distance between the two rows. This space is the river and the jalpari is free to move anywhere in the river. The game starts with the players asking the jalpari to call out a number. The jalpari takes her time and calls out a number. The players from both teams with that number have to cross the river and reach the other side.
The water princess tries to catch the players while they are crossing and if a player is caught he or she is out of the game.
The game continues till one player is left. His team is declared the winner!
